Assistant Professor Lucinda Austin in the School of Communications co-authored an article, "Examining signs of recovery: How senior crisis communicators define organizational crisis recovery," in the December 2014 issue of Public Relations Review.

Through interviews with senior crisis communicators in communications agencies, the study explores best practices for organizations recovering from crises. Findings illustrate how communicators identify effective recovery from crisis, as well as organizational and communication characteristics enhancing this recovery. Additionally, the role publics play in crisis recovery is highlighted.

The research was completed with colleagues from the University of Georgia and the University of Maryland, College Park.

Public Relations Review is a peer-reviewed academic journal highlighting public relations that is published quarterly by Elsevier.
