Kristin Roland presents research at the Southeast Region AAA meeting

The assistant professor of accounting presented research investigating the impact of limited attention on financial analyst reputation.

Kristin Roland, assistant professor of accounting, presented the paper, "Analyst Reputation and Limited Attention: How does firm visbility impact measures of reputation?" at the Southeast Region American Accounting Association meeting in Savannah, Georgia, on April 5, 2019.

The paper is a co-authored work with Sanghyuk Byun, a colleague from Sogang University. The paper examines more than 23,000 analyst-year observations and finds analyst reputation measures are sensitive to firm visibility, suggesting that even sophisticated investors face attention constraints.
