Tom Nelson hosts showing of "Prisoners of Plenty"
Tom Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, hosted this month a private prevue of his recent DVD documentary "Prisoners of Plenty" in Concordia, Kansas.
The documentary focuses on a prisoner of war camp for captured German military during World War Two. The camp was located just outside of the Kansas town. The prevue, on the second day of August, was attended by more than 120 people, most of whom worked at the camp during the war as well as their families.
"Prisoners of Plenty" has been accepted for inclusion in the archives of the Kansas State Historical Society after a vigorous vetting process, ensuring its place as an academic research tool for generations to come.
