Media Board banquet features U.S. News editor

Leaders of Elon's Media Board will host a banquet for editors/managers of student media organizations April 11. The featured speaker will be Anne McGrath, special projects editor for education at U.S. News & World Report, with responsibility for the annual guides "America's Best Colleges" and "Best Graduate Schools."

McGrath has managed the magazine's higher ed projects since 1998. Before that, she was an editor in the News You Can Use section of the magazine, handling stories on personal health, finance and education. She has been an editor and reporter at U.S. News for 16 years. She has also worked at Forbes Magazine in New York. She has a master's degree in communications from Syracuse University.
