Students active in professional work, research presentation
School of Communications senior Lee Serafini is working part time as a sports
writer at The Burlington Times-News. Serafini has been working at the Times-News,
covering ACC basketball, the NFL's Carolina Panthers, the NHL Hurricanes and many
other stories for several years now.
Annie Reilly and Megan Myers spent the fall term working at The Greensboro News &
Record part-time. Both saw their bylined stories appear in the region's largest
daily newspaper. Reilly previously worked last summer as a general assignment
reporter for The Alamance News. Myers worked last summer as a general assignment
reporter for Pautuxent Publishing, which distributes 13 weekly newspapers in
suburban Baltimore.
Senior Jessica Rivelli has worked as an assignment editor for the Greensboro CBS
affiliate WFMY-TV for the past year.
Mandie Danielski, senior, will present her Elon Arts and Humanities Scholar
research at the annual national Writing Across the Curriculum conference at Rice
University in Texas in March. She will talk about her research and suggestions
for improving writing across Elon's campus. Her work in Elon's Writing Center
inspired her research questions. She will also present these findings at Elon's
Student Undergraduate Research Forum in April.
Broadcast major Ben Stewart worked at E! Entertainment Television in a winter
term internship.
Journalism major Erin Moseley is working for the online
operation of the Financial Times, FT.com, in London during spring semester.
