Allison Oskin joins Candace Rotolo at WVVA-TV

Allison Oskin, an Elon senior who finished up her course work at the end of winter term 2001, was hired in February by WVVA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Bluefield, W.Va., to be the producer for the 5 p.m. news block. She is working closely with another Elon alum, Candace Rotolo, a 1991 grad.

Rotolo, pictured at right, anchors NewsChannel Six at 5, 6 and 11 p.m. Prior to joining WVVA in July, 2001, she was a general assignment reporter at WHNS in Greenville, S.C. While there, she received a Matrix Award from the Association for Women in Communications for her work. Rotolo has also worked as an assignment editor, producer and reporter in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Wilmington and Raleigh, N.C.
