Skube teaches writing
for Poynter Institute

Michael Skube conducted a National Writers Workshop class sponsored by the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel in May. The class was on feature writing, and it focused on strong endings.

"In particular, I suggested - and gave examples - that it sometimes helps to write the ending first, since that's what readers take with them," Skube said. "I'll bet you can't remember the opening scene of 'Casablanca.' We all know the closing scene."
