Elon football production
earns additional accolade

The Association of Higher Education Television Administrators has honored the "Touchdown Phoenix Football" show as one of the top three college television shows in the country for 2002-03.

Over the past few years, the production - under the guidance of J. McMerty of Elon's Office of Television Services, and Trip Durham of the Elon Athletics office - has involved more than 100 students. It has also been awarded Telly and Aegis Awards.

"Touchdown Phoenix" is a joint project between Elon Television and Elon Athletics. The program airs regularly in the fall on Elon's campus, is carried on the local-access channel of Time Warner Cable and also airs on Comcast.
