Two
School of Communications students were among the 17 Elon University
seniors invited to share their diverse talents, ranging from academic
research to theatrical performances, during the 19th annual Senior
Showcase May 21 in McCrary Theater. The event celebrates the academic
achievement, leadership, talent and energy of this year's seniors.
Academic departments
and staff members in the student life office nominated
participants, and a committee of faculty and staff made the final
selections.
Participating
students included: Broadcast major Erin Cooper, who presented "Through
the Looking Glass: Memories of a Tribe Almost Forgotten," a
look at the Occaneechi tribe in a documentary
film she helped Professor Ray Johnson produce; and Corporate
Communications major Brian O'Shea, whose presentation "63 Days,
4,000 Miles" related the PR efforts he put forth for charity during
the "Journey
of Hope" cross-country bike trip during the summer of 2003.
