Oct. 30, 2004, column written by School of Communications faculty
member Mark Fox for the Burlington Times-News headlined "Christians
Need to Get Involved" was honored with an Award of Outstanding
Merit by the Amy Foundation, based in Lansing, Mich.
The award citation
from Amy Foundation President Jim Russell says Fox's essay "is
being honored for its thought-provoking, skillful presentation of
biblical truth, reinforced with scripture in a mainstream, non-religious
publication."
The foundation
received nearly 800 qualified entries in the 2004 competition. Fox
won a cash award of $1,000.
