A number of
School of Communications students will travel with Elon University's
group to Blacksburg, Va., to present their research at the 2005
National Conference on Undergraduate Research April 20-23.
The group
of students mentored by faculty members from the School of Communications
includes Adam Smith, whose project was mentored by Brooke Barnett;
Lindsay Porter, mentored by Janna Anderson; Ellis Harman, Julia
Smith and Cassandra Srozinzki, mentored by Jessica Gisclair; and
Kim Hayes, mentored by Michael Frontani.
This is the
fourth consecutive year that an Elon student project mentored by
Anderson has been presented at NCUR. All four projects have been
tied to internet research. Anderson is the director of internet
projects for the School of Communications.
A total of
forty-seven Elon University students mentored by 23 Elon faculty
members will participate in NCUR this spring.
