Views from Namibia, Africa Namibia is a vast, mostly rural nation and it is one of the world's newest democracies -they gained their independence in 1990. The people and culture are both beautiful and complex. Much vision and courage will be needed in the coming years in dealing with the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
