At Elon University, I have specialized in teaching science, or interdisciplinary courses emphasizing science, to non-science majors.  I am dedicated to maintaining and improving my effectiveness at bringing scientific concepts to non-science majors, and work towards this goal using a variety of means.  I am particularly interested in making the classroom experience enjoyable, yet challenging

I enjoy gardening, playing and watching various sports, and spending time with friends and our cat.  I am married and live in Elon with my husband Mike, and our children Robert and Constance.  My research training is in Marine Biology, with a focus on how marine organisms physiologically adapt to their environments.
