Brief Biography
Born in Panama to a U. S. Army officer, I have lived in Oklahoma, Florida, Geogia, Maryland, South Carolina, Colorado, and North Carolina. I taught 30 years at Chapel Hill High School and was the first teacher in North Carolina to receive the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching in 1983. After retiring in 2003, I have been teaching part-time at Elon "as long as it is still fun."
