Our Lady of Grace School: Volunteer softball coach (2012)-February-April I am the manager for the softball team for 5-8^th graders.

GIHN (Guilford Interfaith hospitality Network (3/11/11)-From 8:30 pm to 7:00 am spent night with homeless families.  Shared in fellowship with the adults, played basketball with the kids and assisted with breakfast. Most of all, gave hope and motivation for the parents that they can find a job or go back to school.

GIHN (Guilford Interfaith hospitality Network (12/5/10)-Help set-up rooms and spend the night with those that are homeless. GIHN works with all the churches in Gilford County to provide food and shelter while the families (all have children) look for work.

YMCA Athletics- April-June 2009: Volunteered as a baseball manager for 13-15 year old YMCA  participants to play in a baseball league

Our Lady of Grace/Athletics-ongoing-I volunteered my time to be the PT for all of the athletic programs at Our Lady Grace School in Greensboro. My children attend this school and play sports. I have updated the supplies needed and been “on call” to all the coaches. This may turn into a good opportunity for the DPT students after the first year.

Professional skills include an active orthopedic physical therapy practice. With over 20-years of experience, I still enjoy patient care with faculty, staff, students and athletes at Elon University. If time permits between research and teaching, I will fill in at various orthopedic clinics. The skills of evidence-based manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and other interventions while monitoring healing with MSK US has provided optimal outcomes for my patients.
