Brief Biography

I am from Arizona where I went to graduate school (Go Cats!) before heading out to North Carolina to work at UNC (go Heels!) before coming here to Elon- yeah Phoenix!!  I teach General Biology as well as Anatomy & Physiology.  I love science.  Any of my students will tell you that I get excited over any cool biology facts and I think the gut is the coolest organ around.  My research focuses on the interactions between the immune cells and the microbes that reside in the intestine (check out my website for more details!). When I am not here at Elon I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and two dogs.
