Brief Biography

I'm originally from Peru but have been living in the United States since 1997. After obtaining a journalism degree from Elon in 2004, I joined the Burlington (N.C.) Times-News, first as a city reporter and later as a court reporter. I returned to my alma mater in 2010 to serve as assistant director of academic communications, a role I held until October 2012, when I moved into my current position.

Coordinate all print, Web and video communications projects for Elon’s Office of Alumni Engagement, including social media management, and support alumni initiatives by the Office of Advacement.

Skills

I am proficient in Spanish, acquainted with online publishing platforms, such as WordPress, and comfortable using content management systems for Web editing and different video editing programs. I have basic knowledge of the following programs: Dreamweaver, InDesign, InCopy and Final Cut Pro.
