B.A., Hamilton College; M.B.A., North Carolina Central University. Spent four years as GM of Burlington Indians minor league baseball team and served as athletic director for the Burlington Recreation & Parks Department for five years. Previous work experience includes marketing, sales and management jobs in professional hockey, baseball and boxing. Author of Cradle of the Game: Baseball & Ballparks in North Carolina (August Publications, 2008). A founder of the Coastal Plain League. Actively involved with Burlington-Alamance Sports Development Council and Alamance Partnership for Children. Areas of interest and research include physical activity programs for underserved youth and the business of baseball. Began as an adjunct at Elon in 2007 and joined the faculty full-time in 2012. Completing a PhD in Community Youth Sport Development at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
