Brief Biography
Kevin J. O’Mara, Ph.D., is a professor of management in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business at Elon University. He teaches at the undergraduate, MBA, and Executive Education levels with primary teaching responsibilities in the strategy and innovation fields. He has been awarded the LSB Dean’s Teaching Award, the LSB Dean’s Research Award and the LSB Dean’s Service Award. He led study abroad courses to London, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, and the Cayman Islands. During his tenure as Director of the Elon MBA, the program received its initial AACSB accreditation, was ranked #1 and #4 overall by EBI , and cited by the Princeton as “The Best Administered MBA Program”. Prior to entering academia, he was a strategic analyst for a Fortune 100 oil exploration company in Houston. He holds the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, serves on multiple boards, and is the current President of the Academy of Business Education.
