Brief Biography
Raychl Smith Woodward is a member of the music education faculty at Elon University. She teaches courses in Instrumental Methods, Choral and Instrumental Arranging, and Introduction to Music Education. Before joining the music education faculty at Elon, Raychl taught in the public schools of North Carolina as an elementary general music teacher, choral director, and middle and high school band director. While teaching in Concord, North Carolina, she was voted Teacher of the Year at Weddington Hills Elementary School. Raychl is an alumnus of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program at Appalachian State University, and a member of the Creative Motion Alliance executive board of directors.
