Steven Bednar received a PhD in economics from Yale University in 2010 and undergraduate degrees in economics and applied mathematics from UC Berkeley in 2003. An assistant professor at Elon since August 2010, Steven's research focuses on applied microeconomics and political economy. Current projects include studying the long run labor market and voting outcomes of early life health shocks and career outcomes of working for a female-friendly supervisor. He has taught business economics, econometrics, public finance, economics of poverty and the senior seminar in addition to advising senior theses and honors theses.
