Research

Dr. Moore's research focuses on changes to mitochondria during the disease process. She is specifically interested in the BCL-2 family of proteins, which control cell death, and uses biochemical techniques such as portein isolation, cell culture, protein-protein interactions, Western Blotting, and cell viability assays. The current projects in her lab use cell culture models of Type II Diabetes, Prostate Cancer, and Sepsis.
