Professor Resa Walch, Chair of the HHP Department, Senior Lecturer and Faculty Fellow for Substance Education, has more than 25 years experience in higher education. She has taught at Elon for fifteen years.  She provides leadership for departmental initiatives and actively serves on major university committees. Professor Walch teaches Wellness, Health of the Human Spirit, Substance Abuse and Human Behavior and Perspectives in Women’s Health. She mentors students in research related to health issues and college students. Her personal research interests include best practices for spirituality in personal health courses, alcohol and other drug issues on college campuses and health behaviors of first-year students.  Professor Walch presents at state, regional and national peer reviewed conferences. She has received CATL and School of Education research grants related to interdisciplinary teaching and course development.
