Detailed Description of the Collection 1. Correspondence. 1933-1934. 2 Folders. 6 Items.

This series contains letters to Carrie Lee Sizemore from the President of Elon (L.E. Smith) and the Registrar (C.M. Cannon) urging her to attend Elon in 1933-34. The letters discuss possible scholarship opportunities for Carrie Lee, as well as the costs associated with attending Elon in 1933 (1:1-1:2). Additionally, there is a letter from August 1934 from L.E. Smith encouraging students to attend Elon, stating that if they attend in 1934, they will represent the 50th anniversary class of Elon in 1938. President Smith highlights why this would be an honor to be a part of this particular class at Elon, and discusses costs and courses that would be offered (1:2). Included with each letter is an application for admission to Elon (1:1-1:2).
