Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and senior lecturer of entrepreneurship in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, presented a June 11 workshop in the 2012 International Council for Small Business World Conference in Wellington, New Zealand.

The workshop, "Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Unlocking Innovation," presented by Palin and Jay Friedlander, Sharpe-McNally Chair of Green and Socially Responsible Business at the College of the Atlantic, discussed where world problems are addressed through venture opportunities by deployment of sustainability innovations.

Founded in 1955, the International Council for Small Business was the first international membership organization to promote the growth and development of small businesses worldwide. The organization brings together educators, researchers, policy makers and practitioners from around the world to share knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.
