REGISTER NOW to celebrate sunshine in government March 11 at N.C. State University

The event is sponsored by the Sunshine Center of the North Carolina Open Government Coalition and N.C. State University Student Media. Speakers include veteran journalists and government officials from North Carolina and numerous experts and advocates for open government. We encourage citizens, journalists, government employees, librarians, attorneys, public officials, students—anyone and everyone—to attend. At this event we will also introduce new open government initiatives.

We’re also pleased to extend an invitation to government officials and staff to attend a pre-conference session on the topic of responding to records requests from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on March 11, also at the McKimmon Center. There is no additional charge to attend this session, which will be led by UNC School of Government professor Fleming Bell and North Carolina Press Association General Counsel Amanda Martin.

  • 1:40 p.m.: Access to Public Records: Panel Discussion on the UNC Football Investigation

Regular Registration Cost: $30 (includes lunch).
Student registration cost: $18.
Add $10 and join the NC Open Government Coalition for 2013 (normal annual dues $25).
You may also sponsor a table at the event. A full table (eight seats) is $400, and half a table is $250.
