Wilson Owens '10 makes Forbes list

The strategic communications major was included in the magazine's "30 Under 30: Music's Brightest Stars" list.

Owens, co-founder of Raleigh, N.C.-based Royalty Exchange, an online platform for buying and selling all types of royalties, was listed as No. 19. Topping the list was singer and songwriter Bruno Mars. Other stars listed included Miley Cyrus, Drake, Katy Perry and Rihanna.

From the Forbes' entry on Owens: "Since its launch last year, Wilson's Royalty Exchange has auctioned over $1 million worth of copyrights, including songs performed by Whitney Houston, Travis Tritt and Snoop Dogg. The idea seems to be catching on: Royalty Exchange raised a $2.1 million Series A in July."
