Healthy adults 65+ needed for memory research studies

My students and I are conducting two studies examining memory and brain activity differences between older and younger adults.  We need healthy older adult (65+) participants.

Where: The studies take place in Long Building, Suite 204, Rooms A&B.  They are both IRB approved.

What to expect:  A participant will take part in a few neuropsychological memory assessments, then watch stimuli on a computer screen, and then be shown the stimuli again and asked if he/she remembers the stimuli.  During this, brain activity will be collected via an electrode cap. Each session will last approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes.  Participants will receive $7.00.

Feel free to forward this information to family or friends who are 65 or older in age.  Participants do not need to be computer users in order to participate.  All results will be kept confidential and your participation will only be known to those running the study.  Only de-identified group data will be presented/published.  Your individual information will never be shared.  We label data by participant number, not by your name.

Please contact Jennifer Champ (jchamp@elon.edu) or Katie Kielek (kkielek@elon.edu) (research students) to schedule an appointment.  For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact the Principal Investigator: Amy Overman (aoverman@elon.edu), 2337 CB, Long Building, 278-5152.

Thank you.
