New Vision Service Plan
Elon's new vision plan with VSP began January 1, 2001. If you have enrolled
in the plan through human resources, you need only to go to a network
optometrist or ophthalmologist and tell the office staff that you are
a VSP member. The annual eye exam will cost a co-pay of $5.00. Spouses
and dependents are also covered under the plan as long as their names
have been submitted to human resources. In addition, the plan provides
a discount of 20 percent on glasses and 15 percent on professional services
associated with contacts (but not materials). Employees who have not yet
enrolled in the vision program should stop by human resources to do
so. The new vision benefit is being provided at no cost to employees.
Lab Work
Please remember that 100 percent of the cost of any lab work done as part
of a doctor's office visit is paid if the lab work is done by LabCorp.
Be sure to ask your doctor if the testing done can be sent to LabCorp
in order to receive the 100 percent benefit. Lab work completed at
all other testing facilities is reimbursed at 80 percent.
