do I use the Tel-Drug mail-order program?
A mail-order program is available for covered Elon employees and/or dependents
who are on maintenance prescription drugs. You are able to obtain a generic
90-day supply if one is available for a $14 co-payment. Just follow these
easy steps:
- Have your doctor write a prescription for a 90-day supply (plus refills)
of your medication. If you need a prescription right away, ask your
doctor to write two prescriptions -- one to be filled by your local
pharmacist (up to a 30-day supply) and one to send to Tel-Drug (up to
a 90-day supply, plus refills).
- With your first order only, complete a patient profile and attach to
your prescription. Patient profiles are located in the Office of Human
Resources or on the Web site: www.teldrug.com.
- For your convenience, you may charge your order to a major credit card, or payment
can be made by check or money order. Payment must accompany all prescription
orders.
- Tel-Drug will mail your medication to your home address via first-class
mail. (Overnight delivery is available for an additional charge.)
