A Reminder About Lab Services
There are two types of providers for lab services: freestanding providers
(LabCorp) and all other lab services providers. Other providers include
facilities within hospitals or within physicians' offices.
LabCorp is the only freestanding lab facility available. When you use
a LabCorp facility, charges will by paid at 100 percent. Ask your physician
if the prescribed services can be provided by LabCorp so that you can
maximize your benefits and reduce out-of-pocket costs. If you do not use
LabCorp, benefits will be paid at 80 percent, subject to deductibles.
