Welcome to the home page for Elon University's graphic identity package. The logo reflects Elon's heritage and incorporates a classic oak leaf design that calls to mind the beautiful campus and the origins of Elon's name, which is the Hebrew word for oak. Elon's official graphic marks are to be used on a variety of academic and institutional communications, including brochures, stationary, business cards, fliers, advertisements, catalogs and Web pages. Each of these uses is an opportunity for the university to clearly state a strong visual identity. All uses of the Elon graphic symbols should be reviewed by the Office of University Relations. Using this site, you may download the logo files to begin your design process. When you have completed the design, contact University Relations (ext. 7415) for final review before printing or production. This will ensure consistency among all on- and off-campus publications. The university seal is used for only formal occasions, appearing on University diplomas, formal invitations, and ceremonial documents, such as Commencement programs and others deemed appropriate by the Office of the President. It is not downloadable and may not be used as a graphic element without permission from the Office of University Relations. The Phoenix athletics symbol, which is to be used for sports and school spirit applications, can be obtained by contacting Brian Tracy, associate director of athletics for external affairs. Please follow this link to read the usage guidelines/technical information. Then choose the graphic mark below that is most suitable to your application. | |

Primary mark - A: an asymmetrical, moderately horizontal version of the logo that is most adaptable to a wide range in scale from very small to very large. |

Secondary mark - B: a compact, vertical version of the logo. Use when a symmetrical shape is necessary in design. May be used with or without the word "UNIVERSITY." Because both the detail in the symbol and the word "ELON" can be read at a small scale, it is very useful for small applications. |

Secondary mark - C: a strongly horizontal version with equal size type. Scaling options are limited by the detail in the leaf for some uses. |

Secondary mark - D: a horizontal version with equal size type for use when symmetry and centering the logo is critical. The color of the type must always be the dominant color and in highest contrast to the back-ground. The symbol should be subordinate to the type. |

Secondary mark - E: a horizontal version with equal size type for use when symmetry and regularity of overall shape is necessary. |
