Need-Based Scholarships

The Isabella Cannon Need-Based Scholarships are based on financial need and are available for Elon semester, summer and winter term study abroad programs.  Proof of need (FAFSA), an application for need-based scholarships and a budget form are required to apply.  Multiple Awards are given each semester/term for up to $1000.

Research-Based Scholarships

The Isabella Cannon Research Scholarships involve a research project that must be incorporated into your program.  An approved 499 form, a  3.0 GPA, a research budget and a scholarship application are required to apply.  The Research scholarship is only available for summer and semester study.  Awards up to $1000 will be given based on the research budget and proposal completed by the student and his or her faculty mentor.

Specialized Scholarship Programs

The Carole and Douglas Bruns International Service-Learning Program provides opportunities for students to learn about and develop a commitment to the importance of international service through an academic internship experience.  Qualifying international service projects should be achieved through work with an NGO or other non-religious based group abroad.  Interested students should contact the Assistant Dean for International Programs at ICCIS to learn more about the program’s criteria and the financial sponsorship available.  Limited funding is available annually.
