The winter term study
abroad application is now online. No paper applications will
be accepted. If you have any technical problems, please email
studyabroad@elon.edu
with “WT Online” in the subject header.

By submitting this application you have begun a process that
is one of the most rewarding experiences you will have during
your time at Elon University.
Application
Initial applications will be accepted April
8-15, 2008. Applications submitted after
April 15 will be considered on a
space-available basis.

Eligibility
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required at the time of
application. Students must remain in good standing prior to
departure in January 2009. It is the
responsibility of the student to notify the Isabella Cannon
Centre for International Studies (ICCIS) of a change in
his or her academic standing. If a student fails to do so,
the Isabella Cannon Centre for International Studies (ICCIS)
reserves the right to dismiss the student from the program.
Notification
Notification of acceptance will be sent via email the week
of May 1,
2008 for those applications
submitted April 8-15, and within three weeks
of receipt of the completed application for those submitted
after April 15.
Deposits
A paid deposit does not guarantee a space in the program.
Deposits are refundable through September 15,
2008. Please see the Cancellation Policy
and Financial Agreement for details.
Payments
The bill for Winter Term 2009 will be sent
to the billing address on file with Elon in early September.
Bills will not be sent to campus boxes. Total payment
minus the $400 deposit is due September 29,
2008.
Passport
A copy of your valid passport will be due by
September 15, 2008. Faxed
copies will not be accepted. Final clearance for
participation will not be given without a passport copy on
file. If you do not have a passport, you need to apply
immediately. If you currently have a passport, check
its expiration date to make sure it is valid at least until
August 2009. Information for securing
a passport is available from the Isabella Cannon Centre for
International Studies (ICCIS).
Scholarships
The ICCIS need-based scholarships are available for winter
term study abroad students. Multiple awards are given out in
amounts up to $1,000. Applications are available
through the ICCIS web site and in the ICCIS.
Scholarship Applications will be accepted April
8-September 1, 2008. Students will be notified
prior to the September 15 refund deadline.
Communication
Further information regarding winter term study abroad,
including additional paperwork, orientation dates and general
communication will be sent to your Elon email address.
Please make sure to respond to all communication as
necessary in a timely manner.
