College Writing Faculty Development Workshop Schedule

The 2012-13 Faculty Development Workshops are scheduled for:

• August 21, 9:00-10:00, ALAM 201: Planning Week Workshop
• September 12, 12:15-1:15: The relationship between ENG 110 and Writing Across the University
• October 10, 12:15-1:15: Text-based and source-based writing
• November 14, 12:15-1:15: Rubrics, checklists, and other assessment tools
• February 13, 12:15-1:15: Writing on-screen and online
• March 13, 12:15-1:15: Genre theory discussion
• April 10, 12:15-1:15: Teaching reflection/reflective teaching

Workshops are open to all English Department faculty, and faculty teaching English 100 or English 110 during the academic year are strongly encouraged to attend to share teaching strategies, to exchange ideas for assignments and activities, and to learn about developments in the program's placement and assessment.
