Nelson Leads Workshop on Diversity Research, Teaching

Tom Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, led a diversity research & teaching seminar at the Broadcast Education Association's regional conference at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. 

The conference, held Oct. 5-6, focused on ways for educators to improve teaching and research while  in the broadcast journalism classroom.  Nelson's section focused particular attention on ways to incorporate diversity related issues into the curriculum.
