Nelson Presents Paper at Global Fusion Conference

Tom Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, presented a paper at the Global Fusion conference. The paper titled, "An Article of Faith: Electronic News Gathering and the Global Audience" was delivered on Sept. 8 in St. Louis, Mo.

Nelson's central theme was that communication technology is a potent agent of globalization. Words, pictures and sounds form the building blocks of communication technology and, as such, deserve special study in the globalization process.
