Special Collegiate Scholarship

The National Basketball Association's Hall of Fame selects two individuals annually, one male and one female, to receive a $5,000 scholarship each to be used toward a graduate degree in a sport related field. The scholarship portion is only one part of the award program. Each year, the Hall gives out an award to significant individuals within the game that have given back in the community. Our award winners have included Dikembe Mutombo, David Robinson, Alonzo Mourning and Bob Lanier among others.

The recipients of the scholarship will be invited to be recognized as part of the Hall of Fame's annual Enshrinement Weekend events. The two deserving individuals will be invited to Springfield in September of 2010.

Please click here for overview, criteria, and application information about the scholarship.

Please contact Greg Procino at the basketball hall of fame with any application questions: gprocino@hoophall.com
