Office of Education Outreach
The Office of Education Outreach at Elon University provides programs for public school teachers and other education-based opportunities for the community at large. We oversee field placements for the School of Education, and our office is responsible for a number of school-, system-, and university-based educational programs.
Programs and Initiatives

Designing and delivering staff development activities to beginning, lateral entry, VIF, and career teachers through "The Professional Development Academy at Elon"

Initiating and implementing collaborative projects with local schools to enhance both learning and teaching

Providing university faculty to assist teachers and schools with specific projects and needs to increase student achievement

Making university-sponsored cultural and educational experiences available to teachers, administrators, and students in the local schools

Placing teacher education students in practicum experiences for both observing and interacting with teachers and students in the surrounding school systems

Seeking funding sources for collaborative projects and partnership efforts with the local schools through grants and business/industry sponsorships

Making curriculum materials and resources housed in Elon's CRC available for use by local teachers
