Sewing Rebellion

Emancipate yourself from the global garment industry by learning how to alter, mend and make your own garments and accessories!

Bring your own clothing to mend or we'll provide all the material you'll need to make your own cloth bag to combat the use of plastic bags!  Don't have any clothing to repair? We'll provide all the materials and tools needed and you get to keep what you sew!  Light refreshments will be served.

Mend America
College Coffee

On Friday, Jan. 20 inauguration day, she launched a four-year campaign Mend America Official Communications.  An act of vigilance and participation in democracy, Frau Fiber will be sending hand stitched patches, official communication and concerns to government officials. During College Coffee on Feb. 21, this action will be brought to Elon, and Frau Fiber asks you to join her by making your own patches and stating your concerns and mailing them to government officials.

Frau Fiber's Mission in America

Presented by Frau Fiber’s archivist and biographer, Carole Frances Lung.  Lung will present 10 years of Frau Fiber’s persistence, encouraging the visitors, residents and citizens of America to exchange their leisure time for personal production of textile and apparel goods.

Studio Art Fall Celebration

We hope you can join us on Monday, Sept. 19, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Arts West.  Tour our open studios, enjoy some free food and music. Come early and you can screenprint an Art and or Art History logo on a free t-shirt.
