The Art History program recognizes the work of outstanding Art History Majors with two scholarships.
Applications for the Johnston and Rippy Awards are available at the beginning of the spring semester and are due on March 14th to Dr. Gatti or Dr. Ringelberg. Recipients are announced at the Elon College Awards Program in May.
The studio area of the Art & Art History department is pleased to offer merit-based scholarships for the upcoming 2011-2012 academic year. These awards are made possible through the generosity of donors and may provide modest funds for student-artists in each class rank. The scholarships are credited towards the student’s tuition account for the 2011-2012 academic year. Please read the guidelines and carefully adhere to the application process. Students who have received scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year must reapply for the upcoming year. (Art Department scholarships do not automatically roll over.) To apply you will need to complete the correct application form and install a small display of your best artwork - see the application guidelines for instructions for this part of the process.

The JUDGE T. WARREN SCHOLARSHIP is designated for incoming first-year students, rising sophomores, and rising juniors in the visual arts program who currently have GPA of 3.0 or higher and will be enrolled at Elon during the 2011-12 academic year. Students in this class rank should use the Judge T. Warren Scholarship application (attached above) and carefully follow the application instructions.
The EDWINA GRAFF HUGHES JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP is designated for rising seniors in the visual arts program who currently have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and will be enrolled at Elon during the 2011-12 academic year. Students in this class rank should use the Johnson Art Scholarship application (attached above) and carefully follow the application instructions.
