i. CHM 111/113
ii. CHM 112/114 or CHM 115/116 if exempted from 111/113; must take another Chemistry (usually CHM/BIO 351/352) if exempted to equal 16 s.h. of credit.
iii. Organic Chemistry: CHM 211/213 & CHM 212/214
c. 8 s.h. of Physics (usually 3rd year)
i. PHY 111/112 or PHY 113/114
d. Additional Biology coursework recommended for MCAT preparation
i. Genetics (BIO 245; preferably fall of sophomore year; used as a prerequisite for upper-level biology courses and suggested by some medical schools; requires 8 s.h. of Organic Chemistry)
ii. Biochemistry (BIO/CHM 351; recommended by many medical schools; requires 8 s.h. of Organic Chemistry)

II. Typical Application Timeline
a. Junior year
i. Apply to Elon Health Professions Committee (local application for a committee interview and letter of evaluation)
ii. May:
1. Download medical school application (AAMCAS or AACOMAS)
2. Complete personal statement essay
3. Take MCAT (usually at the end of May, but depending on readiness may be taken between January and September)
iii. June:
1. Get scores back from MCAT
2. Certify the online AMCAS or AACOMAS application
b. Fall of senior year
i. Interviews at medical schools (if offered)
c. Spring of senior year
i. Receive acceptances or be put on wait list (if offered)

III. Study Abroad Options

a. Spring of senior year
b. Fall of junior year, depending on courses needed
