Consistently ranked among the world's best universities, the Universität Heidelberg is also Germany's oldest (founded 1386). Courses are taught in German or English, and can be used to fulfill requirements in General Studies, German Studies, or your major. Prerequisite is German 222. Heidelberg is a beautiful city with a strong "college town" feel. Full of young people and blessed with a warm, sunny climate, it is renowned for its architecture and food & drink. Heidelberg is also close to major attractions: Munich, Cologne, Nuremberg, Strasbourg, and Lake Constance are within a 3-hour train trip.
Elon's Love School of Business has a powerful partnership with the European School of Business in Reutlingen, Germany, recently ranked the top business school in Germany. Select students will earn degrees from both institutions as part of a four-year dual-degree program that features a paid internship in Germany. Other highly-motivated students may choose semester or year abroad options at the ESB. Students interested in either of these options should consult the Business German website.
A stunning city, Aachen is near Germany's border with Belgium and the Netherlands. Students on Elon's program at the Technical University of Aachen take courses in German, Business, International Relations, Philosophy, and Social Sciences. Wiener Neustadt is located in eastern Austria, not far from Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava. Coursework at the University of Applied Sciences is in Business/Finance, Engineering, Health, and Security, all taught in English. No prerequisite, though German 121 is recommended.
