The NCCTM Club (North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics) merged with the Student NC Association of Educators Club (SNCAE) and was renamed the Future Educators Club. The club meets at least once a month to share information and to support students who are planning to become teachers after graduation. It provides financial support for students to attend the NCCTM conference in Greensboro in the fall and the SNCAE conference in the spring. At Solve Tea, students and faculty work as consultants to the University on mathematics or statistics modeling projects and talk about internships, careers, and research opportunities in these fields. They are provided with information about conferences that students may attend, plan fun social events, and enjoy good food together.
