Chris Young '03

Following his graduation from Elon in 2003, Chris’s professional life has allowed him to travel the world and grow in both his career and life. He toured with several regional shows from 2003-2004. He then spent four years as a Lighting Designer and Technician for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. In early 2009, he moved to Charleston, S.C. where he now works freelancing as a Lighting Designer/Video Technician as well as operating a side business designing and building websites and iOS applications.


Dan Higginbotham '11

Dan is currently an Automation Technician for Cirque du Soleil’s LOVE in Las Vegas. Additionally in Las Vegas, he has served as Technical Director for the British National Theater of America and United Production Works and Assistant Lighting Designer for Mack Lighting. Before moving to Las Vegas, Dan worked with the Glimmerglass Opera in New York and The Legacy Theatre in Georgia.


Matt Artigues '12

Matt is currently on tour with Marvel. Previously he was the Lighting Technician at Koozå for Cirque du Soleil. He was also the LED Costume Technician on Michael Jackson ONE for Cirque du Soleil at Mandalay Bay and Lead Technician of Electronics and lighting Consoles at Production Resource Group Las Vegas. He thanks Elon for the fantastic friendships he has made and the supportive environment of his department even following graduation.


Alicia M Varcoe '13

Alicia currently lives in New York City, where she has been recently hired as a Lighting Coordinator/Stage Manager at 54 Below, “Broadway’s Supper Club.” In her time there, she has designed for Broadway talent, including Alice Ripley and Jennifer Laura Thompson. Alicia also Assistant Directed DMV Tyrant for RAL Productions in New York City. Before moving New York, she was the Music Director for Smile at Riverside Children’s Theatre in Florida. This spring, she will be the Assistant Lighting Designer for "Swing!" at Mill Mountain Playhouse in Roanoke, Va. Her jazz vocal album “Since I Fell For You” is available on CDBaby and iTunes.


Jake Purlewski '13

Jake is currently the Technical Director at Profiles Theater in Chicago. At Profiles, he has worked on the Midwest Premiere of "Wrecks" and "Gidion's Knot," in their Alley Stage space and most recently, "Cock," on their Main Stage. He continues to work as an over hire carpenter, having worked for Drury Lane Theater for the load in of "Hello, Dolly!" and for Lookingglass Theatre Company for their changeover from "North China Lover" and their load in of "The Price." Jake was also the Technical Director for a small children’s theater company’s production of "Arsenic and Old Lace." When not working in theater, Jake is a part time employee for Ravenswood Events and Lakeshore Athletic Services, with whom he has helped set up the Chicago Marathon, various Heart Walks, and Oysterfest. Before having returned to Chicago, Jake worked as a Carpenter for Chautauqua Theater Company, of Chautauqua Institute, in upstate New York.


Dorothy Noel '13

Dorothy is currently working as the Education Administration Apprentice at Olney Theatre Center, an equity regional theatre in Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. She works with the educational touring company National Players which presents three classic works in repertory around the country. She assists the General Manager in tracking revenue and expenses, managing their venue contracts, marketing the upcoming tour and organizing auditions for the next tour. Dorothy also works with the Director if Education in planning curriculum and teaches arts integration classes in a local fifth grade class. She has also spearheaded the planning and administration of Olney’s first ever Spring Break classes for high school students.


John ‘JP’ Mullican '09

After graduating from Elon, JP went on to work with Carnival Cruise Lines as an Automation Specialist and then became the Technical Director at Stages St. Louis for three seasons. In 2012 JP returned to North Carolina to attend University of North Carolina School of the Arts to get his MFA in Technical Direction. He graduated in May of 2015.


Rebekah Lashof '09

Since graduating Elon in 2009, Rebekah has worked in various capacities at several theatres around the country. In the summer of 2012, Rebekah joined the Actors Equity Association and worked as a Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager at the Fulton Theatre in Pennsylvania on several shows; her favorites include "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "A Chorus Line" and "A Christmas Carol." Rebekah is currently the Stage Manager of a new show, "Twenty Seven," at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.


Stuart Richie '10

Stuart is currently works for Cirque du Soleil. She has orchestrated performances in over 32 countries and 115 cities through her work on Cirque du Soleil’s Varekai and Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria. Working within a multicultural organization, she assists in coordinating the technical and artistic elements for these touring productions.


Sarah Linn Reedy '10

Sarah Linn is currently living and working in New York City as the Content Coordinator for HighQuest Partners. She assists with content logistics for all HighQuest Partners domestic and international conference series. She assists with procuring speakers, managing the speaker database, and colleting materials for the event including bios, pictures, and presentations in preparation for events. She manages content logistics including speakers and presentations, and coordinating with the operations and A/V teams to ensure the conference activities go as scheduled at onsite events. Sarah Linn loves being able to take skills she learned as a Stage Manager and apply them to a different industry. She has also enjoyed the opportunities to travel to places such as London, Singapore and Abu Dhabi for conferences.


Bree Sherry '06

Since graduating from Elon, Bree worked at the North Shore Music Theatre and The Warehouse Theatre. She has freelanced in New York City on several new works and freelanced in Washington, D.C. at The Warner Theatre, the Kennedy Center and Studio Theatre. She earned her MFA in Stage Management at Yale University, School of Drama and has served as Resident Production Manager at Triad Stage and currently at Merrimack Repertory Theatre. Bree has enjoyed working in all live performances genres including: Dance, Theater, Music Theater and Opera. However, her favorite show to date would be her wedding. Complete with a three-page color coded daily schedule, script, cue list and blocking paperwork, she and her husband put on an unforgettable show.


Lauren Juengel '07

Since graduating Elon, Lauren has completed Julliard’s Professional Internship Program and received her MFA from the University of California San Diego. In the past year, she has had many opportunities to use her theatre background in new ways including: Production Stage Managing an iconic pop star and Tony-winning actress, working a simulcast event in Australia/New Zealand, and Assistant Directing a new musical in New York City and Phildelphia. She also enjoys mentoring aspiring Stage Managers and teaching workshops on the art of Stage Management. She is currently working on Les Misérables with North Carolina Theatre and is looking forward to what’s next!


Phill Hill '05

Phill was part of the first class to graduate with a BA in Theatrical Design and Production from Elon. Since graduating Elon, he accepted a job as the Production Stage Manager at the historic Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport, Connecticut, but has since moved up the ranks to Downtown Cabaret Production Manager and Lighting Director. He has designed lighting for every DCT production since 2011 including "Seussical," "Annie," "The Laramie Project," "The Wedding Singer," "Dreamgirls" and "Next To Normal" for which he was recently nominated for a BroadwayWorld.com “Best of Connecticut” award for his design. Phill is also the lighting designer for the Downtown Cabaret’s concert series where he has designed for such acts as Gary Puckett, Crystal Gayle, The Hit Men, The Temptations, and countless tribute shows. As of late, Phill has developed into a highly acclaimed playwright with original musical productions of "Robin Hood" and "Aladdin' being performed by the award winning Downtown Cabaret Children’s Company for children and their families in Southern Connecticut.   


Hollace Jeffords '12

The summer before graduating from Elon, Hollace was a part of the Elon in NYC program where he interned for the actor, Alan Cumming. Following graduation Hollace moved to New York City and worked as an intern for Broadway Artists Alliance and then New World Stages. This past winter, he was the Production Stage Manager for Parade at the Gallery Players and an Assistant Stage Manager Off Broadway at The Duke Theatre for The Memory Show. He spent the rest of the year a as Production Assistant for 2econd Stage Theatre working on "Nobody Loves You" and "Little Miss Sunshine." He also worked for Roundabouts production of "Violet," the Sting musical "The Last Ship," Broadway's "Kinky Boots," "Doctor Zhivago" and "Avenue Q."     


Paige Carter ‘12

Paige is currently in the Graduate Program at Columbia  University studying stage management. Previously she was the  Stage Manager for Cirque du Soleil’s first nightclub, LIGHT Nightclub located in the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Paige’s other professional credits include: Stage Management Intern at KA by Cirque du Soleil, Assistant Stage Manager and Head of Props at The Act (from the creators of The Box NYC and London), Stage Management Apprentice for "Wicked" Broadway, and Production Intern for Michael Howard Studios.
