Rebecca Hutchins
Rebecca Hutchins, a graduate of the North Carolina
School of the Arts, has been teaching modern dance at
Elon University since 1995. In addition to her work at
Elon, she has enjoyed many teaching opportunities
including: Duke University, Durham Arts Council, North
Carolina School of the Arts, Virginia Intermont College
and University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her work
has been presented by the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro, New Performing Dance Co., and Independent
Dancemakers of which she is proud to be a founding
member. She has performed with numerous groups and
choreographers including: Clay Taliagerro, Sara Hook,
Ways and Means Dance Co., Jose Limon Dance Co., New
Performing Dance Co., and Marcia Plevin Productions. Ms.
Hutchins has received Emerging Artist Grants and the
Hitchings Award for Service to the Art of Dance from the
Durham Arts Council.
