Kirby Wahl, Professor of Performing Arts, holds an MFA from The University of Arizona and a BFA from The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, and is a certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework. Additional training, which informs his teaching, includes study of Knight-Thompson Speechwork and Body-Mind Centering. Recent professional work includes performances in The Mystery of Irma Vep and The Illusion at the Triad Stage in Greensboro, and Jude the Obscure at The Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh, as well as dialect coaching The Seafarer, Pentecost, and The Prisoner's Dilemma at the latter. He has also performed with The Riverside Shakespeare Company (NYC), The Arizona Theatre Company, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, among others.
