This course explores how archaeology in the Near East sheds light on our understanding of the Bible.  It introduces students to the techniques employed by archaeologists today in the Middle East, what they have found, and how these finds are used by scholars in biblical studies.  The goal of the course is to introduce students to the ways that Near Eastern archaeology informs one’s reading of the Bible.
