 MBA alumni attend reunion breakfast

Nearly three dozen MBA alumni returned to campus for a continental breakfast and a chance to reconnect in late January. The Elon MBA Program hosted the inaugural alumni breakfast January 31 in the new Koury Business Building.  Both nearby and far-flung alums, who graduated between '90 and '07, returned to meet with each other, current students, professors and administrators.

Dr. Bill Burpitt, Director of the MBA Program, welcomed alumni back to campus and to the new business building.  MBA Student-Alumni Association president Joe Voshell ('07) then updated alumni on activities the Association is planning for the upcoming year, in addition to their new Web site to keep connected. The keynote was delivered by Dr. Mary Gowan, the new dean of the Love School of Business. Dr. Gowan provided the attending alumni with an update on the growth in the Love School.

Most alumni who attended were from around the local Burlington area, but some came from much further away including Blye Hunsinger (’05) from Pittsboro, Katie Galbraith (’07) from Creedmoor, and Howard Land (’90) from Wilson. Faculty and staff attending, in addition to Drs. Burpitt and Gowan, included Dr. Kevin O’Mara, Dr. Scott Buechler and Judy Dulberg.
