Faculty: Want to work with great students?Faculty can become involved in the Honors Program in a number of ways: as professors of honors courses; mentors to honors fellows doing their thesis research; members of the Honors Program Advisory Committee; learning community advisors; and interviewers during Fellows Weekend. More information on developing an honors course and on mentoring an honors thesis is presented below. For additional information, please contact Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler. TeachingIf you are interested in teaching an Honors course, calls for course proposals for first-year seminars and team-taught courses are usually issued in May, and proposals are due early in September. Proposals for the courses to be taught in 2010-2011 or later are due Monday, September 14, 2009. They should be sent as an email attachment to Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler. Please consult notes about the application process, which contains crucial information, and fill out the appropriate proposal form.
